Wand’s Hat Trick Paces Saints Past Union, 6-1

Oct. 27: St. Lawrence University sophomore Jackie Wand scored her first career hat trick on Saturday, pacing the Saints' women's hockey team to a 6-1 victory over Union College at Appleton Arena. Wand's effort, along with a 28-save performance by Carmen MacDonald and a three-assist night by Amanda Boulier, helped the home team earn a sweep in ECAC Hockey's opening weekend.

Saints Escape with 3-2 Win Over Rensselaer

Oct. 26: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team picked up its first win of the season on Friday afternoon, as the Saints skated to a 3-2 victory over Rensselaer at Appleton Arena in the 2012-13 ECAC Hockey opener. Senior captain Kelly Sabatine had a pair of goals including the game-winner, though the Engineers gave the home team all it could handle before falling a goal short.

Fulton, No. 2 Cornell Drop Saints, 5-1

Oct. 23: Cornell University scored three goals in :59 seconds late in the first period on Tuesday night en route to a 5-1 victory over the St. Lawrence University women's hockey team in Ithaca, NY. Emily Fulton scored two goals for the nationally-ranked No. 2 Big Red, while junior Rylee Smith scored her first goal of the season for the Saints in the non-conference contest.

Top-Ranked Golden Gophers Hand Saints 6-0 Loss

Oct. 13: Nationally-ranked No. 1 University of Minnesota scored three special teams goals and another solid performance from goaltender Noora Raty en route to a 6-0 victory over the St. Lawrence University women's hockey team at Appleton Arena on Saturday afternoon.

No. 1 Minnesota Blanks Saints, 5-0

Oct. 12: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team played host to nationally-ranked No. 1 Minnesota on Friday evening at Appleton Arena, falling to the Golden Gophers by the score of 5-0. Amanda Kessel scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, while Noora Raty turned in 27 saves for her third shutout of the young season.

Clarkson Scores Late, Tops Saints 3-2

Oct. 6: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie the game at 2-2 in the third period against Clarkson on Saturday, but Danielle Skirrow's tally with only 3:24 remaining proved to be the game-winner as the Golden Knights topped the Saints 3-2 at Cheel Arena.

Howe, Clarkson Shutout No. 7 Saints in Opener, 1-0

Oct. 5: The puck dropped on the 2012-13 women's ice hockey regular season on Friday evening, as Clarkson University scored on its first shot then relied on goaltender Erica Howe for a 32-save performance, backstopping the Golden Knights to a 1-0 victory over St. Lawrence University at Appleton Arena.

Wilkinson’s Goal Lifts Saints Past McGill in Overtime

Oct. 3: The nationally-ranked No. 7 St. Lawrence University women's hockey team defeated McGill University by the score of 5-4 in an exhibition contest on Wednesday evening at Appleton Arena. Junior Dayle Wilkinson scored the overtime game-winner, while senior captain Kelly Sabatine scored a hat trick including the game-tying goal.

Sabatine and Goldsmith to Captain Saints in 2012-13

Oct. 3: St. Lawrence University head women's hockey coach Chris Wells has announced that seniors Kelly Sabatine and Jamie Goldsmith will captain the Saints throughout the 2012-13 season, which is set to get underway this Friday night against Clarkson University.
