Labonte Turns Back Saints 2-1 in Exhibition

Sept. 30: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team took on McGill University in their annual exhibition contest at Appleton Arena on Friday evening.  Martlet goaltender Charline Labonte, a member of Canada's Olympic team, turned in a 31-save performance and Ann-Sophie Bettez scored the game-winner with 5:32 remaining in regulation, leading McGill past the Saints, 2-1.

Emard, Belanger to Captain Saints in 2011-12

Sept. 29: St. Lawrence University women's hockey head coach Chris Wells has announced that graduate student Karell Emard will serve as the Saints' captain for the 2011-12 season.  Senior Josee Belanger has been elected to serve as an assistant captain.

Saints Preparing for Exciting 2011-12 Season

Sept. 14: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team is a mere 17 days away from opening its 2011-12 season inside the friendly confines of Appleton Arena against north country rival Clarkson University.  With an impressive blend of veterans and solid newcomers, the Saints have set their hopes high for the upcoming year, as they look to compete against some of the best competition in the nation.

Eight Players Earned ECAC Hockey All-Academic Honors

Sept. 14: Eight members of the 2010-11 St. Lawrence University women's hockey team earned ECAC Hockey All-Academic honors last season.

Saints Have 40 Alumnae Set to Return for Clarkson Game

Sept. 27: An updated total of 40 alumnae have confirmed their plans to parttake in the 2011 Alumnae Weekend.  Due to the outstanding response, two games will be played on Saturday, October 1, including an alumnae game featuring only former St. Lawrence players, followed by an alumnae game against Clarkson University, scheduled for Saturday, October 1.
