Emond Named ECAC Hockey’s Player of the Week

Dec. 15: ECAC Hockey announced on Tuesday that junior Vanessa Emond was selected as the league's MLX Skates Player of the Week.

No. 3 Lakers Rebound, Top Saints 7-3

Dec. 11: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team dropped Saturday's rematch against nationally-ranked No. 3 Mercyhurst at Appleton Arena by the score of 7-3.  The Lakers were led by Meghan Agosta's five point night and Jesse Scanzano's hat trick, while the Saints, who upset the visitors on Friday, were led by sophomore Kelly Sabatine's two goals.

Emond, Desrochers Lead Saints in 6-2 Upset over No. 3 Lakers

Dec. 10: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team scored three goals in a span of 2:49 in the first period en route to an impressive 6-2 upset of nationally-ranked #3 Mercyhurst College on Friday night at Appleton Arena.  Junior Vanessa Emond had four points on a pair of goals and two assists, while first-year student Mel Desrochers added her first collegiate goal and a helper in the victory.

Saints Rally in the Third, Top Raiders 5-3

Dec. 4: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team outscored Colgate University 3-0 in the third period of Saturday's ECAC Hockey showdown in Hamilton, NY.  The Saints' used the three goals to rally past the Raiders by the score of 5-3 and earn a weekend split in Central New York.

Saints Falls to No. 1 Cornell, 3-1

Dec. 3: The St. Lawrence University women's hockey team was unable to rally from a 3-0 deficit on Friday afternoon against nationally-ranked No. 1 Cornell in Ithaca, NY.  Junior Josee Belanger scored her first collegiate goal in the contest, but the Big Red was able to earn the ECAC Hockey victory, 3-1.
