July 10: Melissa Snizek, who will be a sophomore on the St.
Lawrence University women’s golf team, and Aimee Caligiore, an incoming
first-year player, both made the cut in the 2009 New York State Women’s
Amateur Golf Tournament and both finished in the top 20.
Snizek finished tied for 15th in the 70-player
tournament at the Drumlins Golf Club in Syracuse while Caligiore tied
for 17th. A total of 39 players made the cut at 171 or better for 36
holes.
Snizek shot rounds of 82, 79 and 82 for a 243 total
while Caligiore was one stroke back at 244 with rounds of 82, 82 and 80
in the three day tournament.
