Bombers Edge Saints, 65-64

Nov. 30:  Devin Shea's pair of free throws with 3.6 seconds left in regulation proved to be enough as the Ithaca women's basketball team edged St. Lawrence University, 65-64, in Friday's non-conference match-up in Canton, NY.  St. Lawrence first-year student Amanda Roberts put up a floater at the buzzer that bounced around the rim but didn't fall through.  

Cardinals Spoil Saints' Home Opener, 71-49

Nov. 27:  The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team fell 71-49 in its 2012-13 home-opener to Plattsburgh State on Tuesday evening at the Burkman Gymnasium.  Though the Saints (1-2) were able to cut the deficit to nine in the second half, the Cardinals (2-1) delivered clutch shooting down the stretch to earn the non-conference victory.  

Saints Escape Cardinals, 80-77

Nov. 17:  The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team outlasted St. John Fisher in the third place game of the Chuck Resler Tournament, winning by the score of 80-77 in Rochester, NY on Saturday afternoon.  Sophomore Kara McDuffee had a career-high 24 points, including 6-of-7 shooting from behind the arc, and added six steals, six rebounds and two blocks in garnering All-Tournament Team honors for her performance over the weekend.  

Yellowjackets Outshoot Saints in Season Opener, 79-55

Nov. 16: The University of Rochester shot 58% from the field en route to a 79-55 win over the St. Lawrence University women's basketball team in its season opener at the Chuck Resler Tournament on Friday night.

Saints Tabbed as Liberty League Pre-Season Favorite

Nov. 15: The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team was the narrow favorite to top the Liberty League again this season in a close pre-season coaches' poll. The Saints received 57 points, including three first place votes for the top spot, though first place votes were dispersed amongst five teams and only 10 points separated the top three in the poll.
