Saints Hold Off RPI To Advance To Conference Championship, 54-49

The St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team survived a
second-half surge on the part Rensselaer Friday evening as the Saints
defeated the Red Hawks 54-49 in Schenectady, NY, to advance to the
Liberty League Championship contest, set for Saturday afternoon at
Union College.

Seniors Pace Saints To 79-72 OT Win Over RPI On ‘Senior Day’

The St. Lawrence University women’s basketball senior class
combined for 51 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists on ‘Senior Day’ to
help guide the Saints to a 79-72 overtime victory over visiting
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Burkman Gymnasium Saturday
afternoon.

The Saints improve to 17-7
and a 10-4 conference mark to close out the regular season, while
Rensselaer falls to 18-6 and 10-4 against Liberty League opponents.

Saints' 70-45 Win Over Vassar Sends Squad To Liberty League Tournament

Ten members of the St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team
scored points en route to defeating Liberty League opponent Vassar
College 70-45 in Burkman Gymnasium Friday night, clinching a spot in
the conference tournament, scheduled to begin next weekend.

The Saints improve to a 16-7 overall mark and 9-4 against Liberty
League opponents, while Vassar remains winless in conference action
falling to 3-21 on the season and 0-13 in the League.

Saints End Losing Skid With 63-56 Victory Against Hamilton

After a full 40-minute battle, the St. Lawrence University women’s
basketball team used a scoring run late in the contest to pull away
from Liberty League opponent Hamilton College Saturday afternoon as the
Saints defeated the Continentals 63-56 in Scott Field House in Clinton,
NY.

The Scarlet and Brown turned
around their three-game losing streak to improve to a 15-7 mark and 8-4
in the conference, while Hamilton falls to 13-8 and 6-5 in League
action.

William Smith Edges Saints In Final Moments, 64-62

The St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team overcame a
12-point deficit towards the end of the first half and earned as much
as a five-point lead in the second before William Smith College climbed
back and edged the Saints 64-62 in Liberty League action Friday night
in Geneva, NY.

Skidmore Stuns Saints, 69-58

The Skidmore Thoroughbreds used 13 three-point buckets to overcome
an early deficit and defeat the St. Lawrence University women’s
basketball 69-59 in Liberty League action Saturday afternoon in Burkman
Gym.

Skidmore improves to 8-13 overall with the win
and 5-5 in the conference while the Saints suffer their second straight
loss and fall to 14-6 in the season and a 7-3 record in the Liberty
League. The Saints remain in second place in conference standings,
while Skidmore is now in fifth place.

Dutchwomen Edge Saints 51-47 In Liberty League Showdown

Despite a tough defense on the part of the St. Lawrence University
women's basketball team, the Union Dutchwomen concentrated their
efforts in making shots in the paint as they made a second half
comeback to edge the Saints, 51-47, Friday night in Burkman Gymnasium.

Saints Earn Sixth Straight Win With 65-56 Victory Over Golden Knights

First-year athlete Katherine Edgerton and senior Katie Palmer
combined for 24 points in the second half to pace the St. Lawrence
University women’s basketball team to a 65-56 win over Liberty League
opponent and North Country rival Clarkson University Tuesday night in
Alumni Gymnasium in Potsdam, NY.

St. Lawrence improves to a 14-4 overall mark and 7-1 in the Liberty League
and earns its 31st consecutive win over the Golden Knights. Clarkson
falls to 6-13 on the season and 1-7 in conference action.
