Palmer Scores 22 Points In 68-50 Win Over William Smith

In a repeat of last year’s Liberty League title game, the St.
Lawrence University women’s basketball team emerged victorious over the
William Smith Herons on Saturday afternoon as the Saints defeated the
visiting team 68-50 in Burkman Gym in Canton, NY.

St. Lawrence improves to a 13-4 record with their fifth straight win
and ends the first half of the conference schedule with a 6-1 mark.
William Smith falls to 10-8 overall and 4-3 on the League.

Saints Roll in 65-38 Win Over Hamilton

Consistent shooting in the second half on the part of St. Lawrence
University women’s basketball team led the squad to its fourth straight
Liberty League win as the Saints earned the 65-38 win over the Hamilton
College in Burkman Gymnasium in Canton, NY.

The Saints improve to 12-4 overall and 5-1 in the conference while
Hamilton suffers their fourth conference loss as they fall to a 2-4
mark in the League and a 9-7 record for the season.

Saints Sweep Weekend With 55-39 Victory Over Vassar

A one-point deficit at the half sparked a fire under the St.
Lawrence University women’s basketball team Saturday afternoon as the
Saints used the second half to earn a 55-39 win over conference
opponent Vassar in the Athletics and Fitness Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.

St. Lawrence improves to 11-4 overall and earns their third straight
Liberty League win (4-1), while the Brewers endured their fifth
straight loss and fall to 2-12 in the season and a 0-5 mark in the
conference.

Saints Prevail Over Rensselaer In Overtime, 73-67

The St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team came back from
a 37-23 halftime deficit to tie and force overtime between themselves
and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Friday night and used free throws
in the extra session to earn the eventual 73-67 victory over the Red
Hawks in Liberty League action in Troy, NY.

Team Effort Leads Saints To 83-56 Win Over Clarkson

The St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team had each of its
ten players on the court score points Tuesday night in a decisive 83-56
victory over North Country rival and Liberty League opponent Clarkson
University in Burkman Gymnasium.

The Scarlet and Brown improve to a 9-4 overall record and a 2-1 mark in
conference games, while the Golden Knights remain winless in Liberty
League contests as they fall to 5-9 overall and a 0-3 conference mark.

Saints Fall To Dutchwomen, 65-52

Union College shot 56.5 percent from the floor in the second half
as the Dutchwomen handed the St. Lawrence University women’s basketball
team their first Liberty League loss Sunday afternoon, as the Saints
fell 65-52 at the Viniar Athletic Center in Schenectady, NY.

The Saints fall to an overall 8-4 record and emerge from their first
weekend in conference action with a 1-1 mark. Union improves to 9-3
and maintains their unblemished 3-0 Liberty League record.

Saints Open League Play With 58-45 Win Over Skidmore

A 61.5 percent three-point shooting percentage in the second half
helped steer the St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team to a
58-45 victory over Liberty League opponent Skidmore College Friday
night in the Saints’ first conference contest of the season in Saratoga
Springs, NY.

St. Lawrence improves to
an 8-3 overall record and a 1-0 mark in the conference, while Skidmore
suffers their sixth consecutive loss and is now 3-10 on the season and
0-2 in Liberty League action.

Brockport Halts Saints' Winning Streak at Six, Hands Team 39-36 Loss

A second half comeback attempt by the St. Lawrence University
women’s basketball team was not enough to overcome their 27-13 halftime
deficit, as the Saints fell to The College of Brockport 39-36 in the
Tuttle North Gym in Brockport, NY early Sunday afternoon.

The Saints suffered their first loss since late November and fall to a
7-3 overall mark to conclude the non-conference portion of their
regular season schedule, while Brockport improves to a 5-4 record.

Saints Earn Sixth Consecutive Victory; Rout Hartwick, 59-25

Every member of the St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team
contributed in one way or another to the Saints’ 59-25 victory over
non-conference opponent Hartwick College in Burkman Gymnasium Saturday
afternoon, ensuring the home team’s sixth consecutive win of the season.

The Saints, who have not lost since November 25, stand at a 7-2 overall
record with only one game remaining before conference play begins,
while the Hawks drop to a 5-6 mark for the season.

Palmer Reaches 1,000 Points; Stanton Leads Saints To Win In Oswego

Senior forward Katie Palmer knew how to get 2009 started off right as she hit the coveted 1,000-point milestone as the St. Lawrence University women’s basketball team returned to action and earned their fifth consecutive victory of the 2008-09 campaign Tuesday evening as the Saints upended the Oswego State Lakers 62-49 in Oswego, NY.

St. Lawrence’s record improves to 6-2 overall with the win while Oswego lost its third straight contest and falls to a 4-5 mark.
