Apr. 26: Melissa DeRan, who guided the St. Lawrence
University volleyball team to a record-breaking season in 2009, has accepted an
assistant coaching position at UMass-Boston.
With her departure, University Athletic Director Margie Strait has
announced the hiring of Shelly Roiger, former head coach at Northland College,
as her replacement.
