Apr. 30: The St. Lawrence University softball team swept
Skidmore College on Saturday in Saratoga Springs, NY by the scores of 6-4 (10)
and 16-4. The victories clinch a spot
for the Saints in the 2011 Liberty League Tournament, with seeding to be
determined tomorrow with a doubleheader against Union College.
Apr. 27: The St. Lawrence University softball team split its
doubleheader with Hamilton College on "Senior Day" Wednesday afternoon in
Canton, NY. The Saints took game one
behind a four- hit shutout from senior pitcher Rachel Duffany, but were plagued
by six errors in a 6-3 loss in game two.
Apr. 25: The St. Lawrence University softball team lost both
games of a non-conference doubleheader against nationally-ranked No. 15
Plattsburgh State on Monday in Plattsburgh, NY.
The Cardinals blanked the Saints, 7-0, in game one and followed with an
8-4 win in game two.
Apr. 22: The St. Lawrence University softball team dropped a
pair of Liberty League games on Friday afternoon in Canton, NY to the
University of Rochester by the scores of 7-0 and 8-6. The Saints had a 5-0 lead in game two, but
the Yellowjackets used a five-run sixth inning en route to the conference
sweep.
April 21: The St. Lawrence University softball team's double-header against
Rochester, orginally scheduled for Saturday, April 23, is now being played tomorrow, April 22nd on Saints Softball Field. Game one will begin at 3:30 pm.
Apr. 18: The St. Lawrence University softball team suffered a pair of non-conference losses to North Country foe Potsdam State by the scores of 5-2 and 8-3 on Tuesday in Potsdam, NY.
April 15: The St.
Lawrence University softball team lost a pair of Liberty League contests on
Friday to conference foe Rensselaer by the scores of 8-0 (5 innings) and 7-0. The Engineer pitchers held the Saints to five
hits on the day.
April 14: The St. Lawrence University softball team's double-header against RPI, originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, has been moved to this Friday, April 15th. Game one will begin at 3:00 pm.
April 5: The St. Lawrence University softball team's double-header at Plattsburgh State, orginally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, has been re-scheduled for next Wednesday, April 13th. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:00 in Plattsburgh, NY.
April 2: The St. Lawrence University softball team
earned a split against Potsdam State today in Canton, NY. The Saints fell
in the first game 4-3 in eight innings before bouncing back to take game two, 6-5.
