Ramsey A Double Winner as Saints Finish 2nd in NYSCTC Championship

Dan Ramsey was a double winner and the Saints received a big second day performance from the duo of sophomore Andrew Goodwin and senior Terrance Fox, but St. Lawrence University's men's indoor track and field team had to settle for second place in the nine-team New York State Collegiate Track Conference Championships at RIT on Saturday.

Ramsey Leads 5K Sweep, Saints 3rd After Day 1 at NYSCTC Meet

Dan Ramsey led a pack of four Saints at the front of the 5000 meter run as the St. Lawrence University men's indoor track team scored 30 points in the event to highlight day one of the New York State Collegiate Track Conference indoor championships at RIT on Friday.

Ramsey, Fox, Jones Star at Cornell's Denault Invitational, Spalik Third in Multi-event

St. Lawrence junior Dan Ramsey won the 3000 meters and seniors Eric Jones and Terrance Fox had big days as the Saint men's indoor track and field team participated in the Marc Denault Invitational at Cornell's Barton Hall on Saturday. Sophomore Justin Spalik finished third in the NYSCTC multi-event championships contested at Cornell on Sunday

Spalik Stars as Liberty League Meet Decided in Last Event

                Justin Spalik was named the men's Outstanding Performer of the 2010 Liberty League Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Newell Field House Saturday, but Rensselaer was able to successfully defend its team title, fending off the Saints with a win in the final event of the day.

Jones Meets Automatic Qualification in Weight Throw

Eric Jones finished second in the weight throw, meeting NCAA automatic qualification at the Syracuse Invitational at Manley Field House on Saturday, the top finish for a Saint athlete in the meet.

Men's Track Team Ranks 10th Nationally

 

St. Lawrence University's men's and women's indoor track and field programs are each ranked in the top ten nationally in week three of the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III polls.
