St. Lawrence University's men's tennis team will play for
third place in the 2011 Liberty League Championships at the Newell Field House
Sunday morning after splitting matches in day one of the tournament on
Saturday.
Apr. 23: The St.
Lawrence University men's tennis team earned a 5-1 victory over RIT on Saturday
in Rochester, NY. The Saints improve to
6-8 while the Tigers fall to 6-7 on the season.
Apr. 19: The St.
Lawrence University men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 loss to Hamilton College
on Tuesday night in Hamilton, NY. The
Saints fall to 5-8 on the season.
Apr. 17: The St. Lawrence University men's tennis team dropped a non-conference match against division 1 foe and nationally ranked No. 50 Cornell, 7-0, in Ithaca, NY. The Big Red, which earned a share of the Ivy League title for the first time in program history on Sunday, improved to 25-4 on the season, while the Saints fell to 5-7.
April 15: The duo of
senior Tony Wilkey and sophomore Michael Hayden are ranked No. 9 in the
Northeast Region in doubles, according to the most recent Intercollegiate
Tennis Association (ITA) rankings. They
have victories over the regionally ranked No. 4 team of Spencer Chang and Jimmy Sherpa of
Skidmore, 9-8(9) and the No. 5 team of Josh Rifkin and Jimmy Newton of Ithaca, 8-5.

10: The St. Lawrence University men's
tennis team suffered a 6-3 loss to Hobart College on "Senior Day" in Canton, NY. The Saints, ranked No. 14 in
the Northeast Region, fall to 5-6 on the season, while the Statesmen improve to
6-8.
April 9: The St. Lawrence University men's tennis team fell to Liberty
League opponent Skidmore College, 8-1, at the Sammis Tennis courts in Canton,
NY on Saturday. The Saints, who rank No. 14 in the region, move to 5-5 on the season. The Thoroughbreds, who rank No. 10 in the region and No. 28 nationally, move to 7-5 on the season.
April 3: The St.
Lawrence University men's tennis team fell to regionally ranked no. 16 the University of Rochester 7-2
at the Goergen Athletic Center in Rochester, NY. The Saints, who rank no. 14 in the region,
move the Saints to 5-4 on the season.
