Nov. 11: Michael
Madding scored the game-winner with under a minute left in overtime to
lift #9 Williams College to a sudden 2-1 victory over #13 St. Lawrence
University in the second round of the NCAA men's soccer tournament.
Nov. 10: St. Lawrence
University sophomore Mark Provost scored the game-winning goal 1:11 into the
second overtime to cap the #13 Saints 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Eastern
Connecticut in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. St. Lawrence improved to 14-2-3 with the win and
will square off with host Williams College (14-1-3) in a second round game at
1:30pm in Williamstown, MA.
Nov. 5: The St. Lawrence University men's soccer team was
given an at-large bid into the 2012 NCAA Tournament and will take on the
Warriors of Eastern Connecticut State on Saturday, November 10 in the first
round in Williamstown, MA. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm at Cole Field on Williams College campus.
Nov. 2: Nine members
of the St. Lawrence University men's soccer team earned All-Conference honors
for the 2012 season, as announced by the Liberty League on Thursday
afternoon. Leading the way for the
Saints as First Team Selections were seniors Sam DeMello, Alex Laird and
Brian Gilloran, and junior Andrew Bednarsky.
Nov. 1: Freshman Vince Bennett scored on the fifth and final penalty kick to help Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) advance to the Liberty League championship game after tying No. 18 St. Lawrence University, 2-2, on Thursday night.
