Apr. 30: The St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team
lost its final contest of the 2011 season on Saturday to Hamilton College by
the score of 10-6 at Hall-Leet Stadium in Canton, NY. Junior captain Caldwell Rohrbach had a
game-high five points (2g,3a), but the Saints were unable to overcome 22
turnovers and nine failed clears against the Continentals.
Apr. 23: The St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team was
unable to overcome a six-goal run in the third quarter by Rensselaer in Troy,
NY on Saturday. The Engineers used the
offensive effort to defeat the Saints by the score of 12-7 and knock the
Scarlet and Brown out of contention for the 2011 Liberty League Tournament.
Apr. 17: St. Lawrence University junior captain Caldwell
Rohrbach scored three goals and added an assist as the Saints men's lacrosse
team snapped a three-game losing skid with a 9-5 victory over Ithaca College on
Sunday in Ithaca, NY.
Apr. 16: Vassar College goalie Andrew Nicol turned in an 11-save
performance on Saturday, lifting the Vassar College men's lacrosse team to a
stunning 5-4 upset win over St. Lawrence University on a soggy afternoon at
Hall-Leet Stadium.
Apr. 13: The St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team
lost its second consecutive game Wednesday, as Clarkson University used a 5-0
third quarter en route to an 11-4 victory in Potsdam, NY.
Apr. 6: St. Lawrence University sophomore Tucker Garfield's
second goal of the game came at the 2:17 mark of overtime, giving the Saints men's
lacrosse team an 8-7 victory over Plattsburgh State under the lights at
Hall-Leet Stadium on Wednesday night.
The win snapped the Cardinals' seven game win streak.
Apr. 2: The St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team fell
to nationally-ranked No. 19 Skidmore College on Saturday at Hall-Leet Stadium
by the score of 16-10 in the Saints' 2011 Liberty League opener. Junior captain Caldwell Rohrbach had four
goals and an assist, while sophomore Tucker Garfield added three tallies and a
helper. Skidmore's Mike Holden finished
with a game-high five goals while Ben Cornell (2g,3a) had five points.
