Michigan Tech Gains Split of Weekend Series, 3-1

St. Lawrence University's men's hockey team got another strong effort from sophomore goaltender Matt Weninger, but had to settle for a split of its weekend series with 18th-ranked Michigan Tech as the Huskies scored three times in the second period en route a 3-1 win at Appleton Arena Saturday afternoon.

Essery, Weninger Pace Saints To Win over Michigan Tech

St. Lawrence University's hockey team didn't show many signs of the post-Thanksgiving blahs in its non-league meeting with 18th ranked Michigan Tech at Appleton Arena Friday night, but  the coaches and some fans may have grabbed the Tums anyway after a thrilling finish to a 3-2 Saint victory.

Sophomore center Matt Lindblad snapped a 1-1 tie with his first goal of the season at 13:54 of the second period, helping Dartmouth College to a 3-1 ECAC Hockey victory over St. Lawrence University at Appleton Arena Friday night.

Weninger, Flanagan Help Saints To 3rd Straight League Win

Matt Weninger made 33 saves for his second shutout of the year and Kyle Flanagan scored the lone goal of the game 2:02 into overtime as St. Lawrence University recorded its first ECAC Hockey road sweep since February of 2009 with a 1-0 victory at Quinnipiac Saturday evening.

Carey Scores Two, Weninger Shines in Win at Princeton

Sophomore wing Greg Carey scored a pair of goals and sophomore goaltender Matt Weninger turned in another outstanding performance in goal for his third straight win at Princeton's Hobey Baker Rink as St. Lawrence held off the Tigers, 3-2 for their second straight ECAC Hockey win Friday night.

Weninger Posts Shutout, Saints Win First, 2-0

Freshman wing Patrick Doherty scored his third goal of the season 7:01 into the first period and that was all sophomore goaltender Matt Weninger needed as he came through with a 18-save shutout, helping St. Lawrence University to a 2-0 ECAC Hockey victory over Rensselaer at Appleton Arena in Canton Saturday night.

Union Slips Past Saints 2-0

Junior forwards Wayne Simpson and Jeremy Welsh each scored power play goals and sophomore goaltender Troy Grosenick made 27 saves for his second shutout of the season as nationally ranked Union edged St. Lawrence University 2-0 in the ECAC Hockey opener for both teams at Appleton Arena  in Canton Friday night.
