Feb. 26: The St. Lawrence University men's hockey team put
together a late rally on Saturday night at the Bright Hockey Center against
Harvard University. However, the team
was unable to overcome a three-goal deficit, falling to the Crimson, 4-3,
leaving the Saints as the No. 11 seed in the 2011 ECAC Hockey Tournament.
Dartmouth College snapped a 2-2 tie with 5:52 to play in
regulation time and tacked on an empty net goal in the final minute of play to
take a 4-2 decision from St. Lawrence University in a ECAC Hockey game at
Dartmouth's Thompson Arena Friday night, ending any Saint hopes for a possible
home ice berth in the opening round of the playoffs.
Union College junior center Kelly
Zajac scored a pair of goals just under five minutes apart late in the second
period, sending the seventh-ranked Dutchmen on their way to a 5-2 ECAC Hockey
victory at Appleton Arena Saturday night, spoiling the Saints' Senior Night.
Freshman wing Greg Carey scored twice
and St. Lawrence scored five goals on one of the nation's leading collegiate
goaltenders as the Saints upset 14th-ranked Rensselaer 5-3 in a ECAC
Hockey game at SLU's Appleton Arena Friday night.
It was another case of a good
effort with a bad result at Appleton Arena on Tuesday night as Clarkson swept
the season series with St. Lawrence with a 2-1 win which virtually eliminates
the Saints from any chance of a first-round home ice berth in the upcoming ECAC
playoffs.
Freshmen Mark Hourihan and Garnet
Hathaway each scored one goal and assisted on another as Brown University
skated to a 5-1 ECAC Hockey victory at St. Lawrence on Saturday night, gaining
a split of its weekend North Country series.
Senior center Aaron Bogosian gave
St. Lawrence University a 3-1 lead late in the second period and junior
goaltender Robby Moss made 31 saves as the Saints held off second-ranked Yale
3-2 in a ECAC Hockey game at Appleton Arena on Friday night.
Cornell tied the game on an extra
attacker goal with 14.8 seconds to play in regulation time and won it on a
power play goal 2:38 into overtime edging St. Lawrence 4-3 in a Lynah Rink heartbreaker
for the Saints.
A nearly flawless special teams
performance and a 24-save shutout by junior goaltender Robby Moss lifted St.
Lawrence University's men's hockey team to a 4-0 win at Colgate Friday night,
snapping a seven-game ECAC winless streak for the Saints.
