Blum and Halton Named to 2010 ECAC Stewards’ All-Academic Team

May 10:  Juniors Nicholas Blum and Alyssa Halton of the St. Lawrence University men's crew team were named to the 2010 ECAC Stewards' All-Academic Team Monday.  To be honored, student-athletes must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.  A transfer student must have completed a year of study at the particular institution.

Novice Men Finish Second in Petite Final at ECAC Championships To End Regular Season

May 9:  The St. Lawrence University men's novice eight finished second in the petite finals Sunday, at the ECAC Championships in Worchester, MA to end their regular season.  Unfortunately, the stroke of the Saints' varsity eight, sophomore Justin Painter, suffered a season ending injury, so the 1V was unable to compete at the Championships.

Saints Have Best Ever Showing at NYS Championships

May 2: After advancing to grand finals at the New York State Championships for the first time in program history, the St Lawrence University men's crew team took home a bronze in the novice eight event and finished fifth in the varsity eight final.

Saints Advance All Crews to Grand Finals at NYS Championships For First Time in Program History

      May 1: The St. Lawrence University men's crew team advanced both its varsity eight and novice eight to Grand Finals at the New York State Championships Saturday, for the first time in program history. Both boats will compete Sunday, May 2nd in Whitney Point, NY. The men's varsity eight had an impressive race, defeating USMMA, Hamilton, and Albany to finish third in the second heat to qualify for Sunday's Grand Final. Hobart College won the event with a time of 6:16.61, while Ithaca College took second in 6:18.45. The Saints earned the final qualifying place with a time of 6:30.79.
