Five Score In Double Digits In Saints' 88-73 Win Over Statesmen

The St. Lawrence University men’s basketball team shot 52.5 percent
from the floor Saturday afternoon to earn themselves an 88-73 victory
over Liberty League opponent Hobart College in Burkman Gymnasium in
Canton, NY.

The Saints improve to
13-4 overall and a 6-1 conference record, while Hobart, who was coming
off a big conference win against Clarkson on Friday, fell to a 6-12
mark and 3-4 in the League.

Scarlet And Brown Upset Hamilton In 80-67 Victory

The St. Lawrence University men’s basketball team ended Hamilton
College’s undefeated Liberty League run and their six-game winning
streak Friday night as the Saints won the battle over the Continentals
80-67 in Burkman Gymnasium.

Wopperer Tallies 27 Points In 78-72 Win Against Brewers

The St. Lawrence University men’s basketball team rebounded from
their loss to Rensselaer on Friday and came back to earn a 78-72 win
against conference opponent Vassar College Saturday afternoon in the
Athletics and Fitness Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.

The Saints improve to an 11-4 mark and a 4-1 conference record, while
Vassar falls 6-10 on the season and are 1-4 in Liberty League play.

Saints Suffer First Conference Loss; Fall To RPI, 78-72

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute halted the St. Lawrence University
men’s basketball team’s six-game winning streak Friday night as the Red
Hawks were able to hold off the efforts of the Saints in the final
minutes to earn a 78-72 Liberty League win on their home court in
Robison Gym.

The Red Hawks improve
to 9-6 overall and 3-1 in the League, while the Saints suffer their
fourth loss of the season and fall to 10-4 this season and also stand
at a 3-1 mark in the conference.

Saints Dominate In 93-62 Victory Over Golden Knights

The St. Lawrence University men’s basketball team won their sixth
consecutive game and third straight Liberty League contest as the
Saints celebrated a 93-62 victory over neighboring rival Clarkson, in
Burkman Gymnasium Tuesday evening in Canton, NY.

Vonnak's 24 Points Guide Saints To 102-84 Victory Over Skidmore

Senior captain Bela Vonnak scored a season-high 24 points on
8-of-13 shooting from the field and 80 percent shooting from the stripe
and paced the St. Lawrence University men’s basketball team’s offense
in a 102-84 victory over Liberty League opponent Skidmore College
Friday night in Saratoga Springs, NY.

St. Lawrence stands at an 8-3 overall record following their first
conference win (1-0). The Thoroughbreds endure their second Liberty
League loss (0-2) and fall to a 5-8 mark.

No. 22 Ithaca Edges Saints, 95-86

Despite a thrilling comeback in the second half, the St. Lawrence
University men’s basketball team fell just short of handing
nationally-ranked Ithaca College their first loss of the season as the
Bombers held off the Saints for a 95-89 victory Saturday in
non-conference action in Burkman Gym.

Ithaca, who was most recently ranked 22nd in the country according to
the D3hoops.com national poll, improves to an unscathed 8-0 record,
while the Saints record their second loss and fall to a 4-2 mark.

Saints End Non-Conference Action With 89-74 Win Over Golden Eagles

Five members of the St. Lawrence University men’s basketball team
scored in double digits as the Saints enjoyed an 89-74 victory over The
College of Brockport in Tuttle North Gym in Brockport, NY on Sunday
afternoon.

The Scarlet and Brown
conclude their non-conference portion of the regular season with a 7-3
overall record, while Brockport falls to a 3-5 overall mark. The
Saints earned a perfect 4-0 record against SUNYAC teams this season.

Saints Hold Off Lakers, 90-87

Senior captain Tom Wopperer tallied 26 points while two Saints
earned double doubles as the St. Lawrence University men's basketball
team was able to come away from Tuesday night's showdown against
non-conference opponent Oswego State with a 90-87 victory.

The Saints improve to a 6-3 overall record, while Oswego falls to a 5-3 mark with the loss.

Vonnak Reaches 1,000 Career Points; Saints Defeat Heidelberg, 90-79

Senior captain Bela Vonnak tallied his 1,000th career point and
classmate and captain Tom Wopperer posted a perfect first half to help
guide the Saints to a 90-79 win over Heidelberg Saturday afternoon in
the consolation game of the 2009 Buffalo State Holiday Inn Invite, held
at the Buffalo State Sports Complex in Buffalo, NY.

The Saints captured their fifth victory of the season and improved to a
5-3 mark while the Student Princes fell to a 4-7 overall record.
