Cartier, Saints Stun Cortland State in Overtime

Oct. 25: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team rallied for a 2-1 overtime victory on Tuesday against Cortland State in the team's final home game of the 2011 season.  Junior Courtney Cartier scored the game-winner 4:03 into the extra period, allowing the Saints to celebrate a dramatic come-from-behind win, their first over the Red Dragons since 2003.

Saints Keep Playoff Hopes Alive, Top Union 3-1

Oct. 22: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team kept its playoff hopes alive on Saturday afternoon thanks to a 3-1 victory over Union College in Schenectady, NY.  Junior Ashley Ferenczy scored two goals including the game-winner while sophomore goalie Nicole Matos made nine saves.

Brewers Blank Saints 2-0 in Key Conference Game

Oct. 21: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team suffered a 2-0 loss against Liberty League opponent Vassar College on Friday afternoon in Poughkeepsie, NY. 

Viaggio Lifts Engineers Past Saints in Overtime, 2-1

Oct. 15 Rensselaer rookie Liana Viaggio deflected a long-range shot by Alisa Peterson into the upper half of the cage just 3:53 into overtime, giving the Engineers a 2-1 Liberty League victory over the St. Lawrence University field hockey team in Troy, NY.

No. 5 Thoroughbreds Top Saints 2-0 on “Senior Day”

Oct. 8: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team dropped a Liberty League contest to nationally-ranked No. 5 Skidmore College on Saturday by the score of 2-0 at Hall-Leet Stadium.  The Thoroughbreds scored two first half goals and used constant offensive pressure to defeat the Scarlet and Brown on "Senior Day."

Croyle Lifts Saints to 2-1 Win over Blue Knights

Oct. 4: St. Lawrence University senior Julia Croyle scored two second half goals, lifting the Saints field hockey team to a 2-1 non-conference victory over Geneseo State on a soggy Tuesday evening at Hall-Leet Stadium.

Riley, Saints Rally Past Nazareth, 2-1

Oct. 2: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team got two second half goals by senior captain Emily Riley on Sunday, helping the Saints rally for a 2-1 victory over Nazareth College at Hall-Leet Stadium in Canton, NY.
