Saints Blitz St. John Fisher, 3-1

Sept. 28: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team used a heavy 26-7 advantage in shots en route to an impressive 3-1 non-conference victory over St. John Fisher in Rochester, NY on Wednesday night.

#18 William Smith Slips Past Saints, 4-3

Sept. 24:  Despite battling back from a two goal deficit, the St. Lawrence University field hockey team came up short of upsetting nationally-ranked No. 18 William Smith College, falling 4-3 on Saturday afternoon on North Country Field. 

Swits, Matos Propel Saints to Wild 5-4 Win over Rochester

Sept. 23: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team opened the 2011 Liberty League schedule in style on Friday night, as the Saints knocked off the University of Rochester by the score of 5-4 in strokes at Hall-Leet Stadium.  Senior Erika Swits scored twice and added a goal in the shootout, while sophomore Nicole Matos matched her career-high with 19 saves plus two more in strokes.

Valiants Rally Past Saints, 2-1

Sept. 18: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team took an early 1-0 lead over Manhattanville on Sunday at the 2011 William Smith Classic in Geneva, NY.  However, Megan Greene's fifth goal of the season early in the second half broke a 1-1 tie and allowed the Valiants to rally past the Saints by the score of 2-1.

Lebanon Valley Blanks Saints, 4-0

Sept. 17: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team fell to Lebanon Valley on Saturday by the score of 4-0 at the 2011 William Smith Classic in Geneva, NY.

Riley Paces Saints in 5-2 Victory over Mustangs

Sept. 14: St. Lawrence University senior Emily Riley scoredthe game-winning goal and assisted on three others, leading the Saints fieldhockey team to a 5-2 victory over Morrisville State in her team's 2011 homeopener in Canton, NY.

Saints Soar Past Hartwick, 4-0

Sept. 10: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team scored three times in the first half en route to a 4-0 shutout of Hartwick College on Saturday in Oneonta, NY.

Red Dragons Top Matos, Saints, 4-3

Sept. 4: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team was handed its first loss of the 2011 season on Sunday, as Oneonta State used a 25-13 advantage in shots en route to a narrow 4-3 victory in Oneonta, NY.  Sophomore goalie Nicole Matos finished with a career-high 15 saves for the Scarlet and Brown.

Cartier, Swits Lift Saints Past Pioneers, 3-2

Sept. 3: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team got its 2011 season underway in style on Saturday, as junior Courtney Cartier had a goal and an assist and senior Erika Swits scored with only 3:14 remaining in the game to give the Scarlet and Brown a 3-2 victory over Utica College in Oneonta, NY.
