Sept. 25: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team
remained unbeaten in Liberty League play on Saturday afternoon, as the Saints
used three second half goals to defeat Vassar College at North Country Field by
the score of 4-1. Junior Taylor Vogt
scored twice including the game-winning tally, while senior Kelsey Berry and
sophomore Courtney Cartier added goals as well.
Sept. 24: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team
snapped a two-game losing skid on Friday afternoon at North Country Field,
defeating Rensselaer in the Liberty League opener 3-1. Senior Brooke Maloney
scored a pair of goals and assisted on another, while first-year student Nicole
Matos made eight saves to pick up her first collegiate victory.
Sept. 19: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team
tried to rally from a three-goal deficit in the second half on Sunday, but was
unable to score the equalizer in a 4-3 loss to Manhattanville in Geneva,
NY. Junior Erika Swits had a pair of
goals for the Scarlet and Brown, while classmate Taylor Vogt added a goal and
an assist.
Sept. 18: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team
suffered a 3-1 loss on Saturday afternoon in Geneva, NY against
nationally-ranked #17 Franklin & Marshall.
Sept. 11: The diving stick of senior Michelle Laframboise just 2:00
into overtime gave the St. Lawrence Saints field hockey team a 2-1 victory over the Hartwick College Hawks in overtime.
Sept. 5: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team
picked up its first win of the season on Sunday afternoon, as the Saints used a
four-goal first half en route to a 5-1 victory against Utica College at North
Country Field. Junior Erika Swits scored
a pair of goals while senior Brooke Maloney added a goal and an assist.
Sept. 4: Oneonta State spoiled the St. Lawrence University
field hockey team's debut at the newly-renovated North Country Field on
Saturday afternoon, as Ainsley Stoll's second goal of the game in overtime gave
the Red Dragons a 3-2 victory in the 2010 season opener for each team.
Sept. 1: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team,
which finished 12-5 last season, will once again be in the chase for a Liberty
League championship in 2010 thanks to an experienced and talented roster.
