Saints Upset Herons 4-3

Sept. 26:  The St. Lawrence University field hockey team captured a big 4-3 win against William Smith Saturday at North Country Field in Canton, NY, bringing their overall record to 6-1, and  giving themselves an undefeated 2-0 record in the Liberty League Conference .  The Saints defeated the Herons for the first time since 1996 last season 3-2 in overtime, and by the looks of today's game, the Scarlet and the Brown seem determined to make it a trend.

Saints Sting YellowJackets in 2009 Conference Opener

Sept. 25: The St. Lawrence University field hockey team left their mark on Rochester and put on quite a show for their first home game of the season on Friday, defeating the YellowJackets 7-1 in the Liberty League conference opener.  After just nipping Rochester last season 2-1 in overtime, the Saints looked determined Friday to stay far away from any extra minutes of play.

Saints Tame Mustangs 6-1

Sept. 20: The St. Lawrence field hockey team, now 4-1, finished off their weekend sweep with a huge win against Morrisville State College Sunday, defeating the Mustangs 6-1.

Saints Drop Wheaton 5-1

Sept. 19:  The St. Lawrence field hockey team, now 3-1, upset the Wheaton Lyons Saturday with a big win of 5-1.

Saints Upset Hawks 4-1 at Hartwick

Sept. 12: Unlike last weekend, finding the back of the net was not a problem for the St. Lawrence field hockey team on Saturday, as they handily beat the Hartwick Hawks 4-1.

Saints Upset Red Dragons 3-2 in Double Overtime

Sept. 6: After having difficulty putting the ball in Utica's net Saturday, the St. Lawrence field hockey team put on an exciting show Sunday, beating Oneonta 3-2 in double overtime.

Pioneers Nip Saints 2-0 in First Game of 2009

Sept. 5: Despite a strong effort in the second half, the Utica Pioneers nipped the St. Lawrence University field hockey team 2-0 Saturday afternoon.

Saints Look to Carry Momentum into 2009 Campaign

After a strong 2008 campaign, the Saints field hockey team returns to the field this weekend to kick off what Coach Fran Grembowicz hopes to be another stand-out season.

The Scarlet and Brown will travel to Utica College on Saturday, September 5 to take on the Pioneers at 5:30 p.m., followed by a match against Oneonta State at Utica on Sunday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m.
