St. Lawrence broke a 2-2 tie with seven runs in the top of
the seventh for a 9-3 Liberty League baseball win at Rochester on Saturday and
a split of its league twinbill with the Yellowjackets.
St. Lawrence University's baseball team pounded out 27 hits
in a doubleheader sweep of Vassar on
Saturday, completing a 3-1 series against the Brewers to start the Liberty
League season.
Carter Franz went five for five with three runs scored and two
driven in to back Jason Conde's six solid innings of pitching in a 14-4 win in game one of a Liberty League doubleheader at Vassar, but the Brewers bounced back with a 6-5 win in 10 innings in game two to gain a split of the
opening weekend of Liberty League play in Poughkeepsie on Friday.
St. Lawrence University's baseball team posted its best
spring break southern trip record since 2006 to start the 2012 season as the
Saints went 6-2 and hit a robust .355 as a team in Ft. Myers Fl.

runs as St. Lawrence University's baseball team improved to 6-1 on its southern
trip with an 18-0 win over Theil on Friday.

Carter Franz went six for nine at the plate with two triples
and two doubles as St. Lawrence University's baseball team split a doubleheader
with Fredonia in Ft. Myers, FL on Sunday, winning game one 9-4, but dropping
the nightcap 12-4.
Paul Piatelli drew a bases loaded walk to force in the
winning run in the bottom of the ninth as St. Lawrence University's baseball
team won its season opener, 6-5 over Mitchell College in Ft. Myers, FL on
Saturday.
