Saints Sweep Twinbill at St. Michael's

Steve Bodnar allowed one earned run on four hits, striking out 11 in six innings to help St. Lawrence to a 12-3 game one win and Bryan Brennan doubled home the winning run in the top of the seventh as the Saints swept St. Michael’s in a non-league doubleheader in Winooski, VT on Sunday.

Bodnar surrendered a run in the bottom of the first, but the Saints came back to tie in the top of the second and took the lead with a three-run third to set the stage for the game one victory.

Sam Kelly went two for four while Tim Harris, Kirt Broedel and Sean Voss drove in two runs each in the first game win. Kyle Donaldson pitched the seventh in relief.

Kirk Shimkin started a two-out rally in the top of the seventh with a double in game two and Brennan promptly doubled him home to put the Saints up 5-4. Matt Landers struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh to earn his first win of the season with two winnings of relief. Zach Slater was the starter and gave up four hits and two earned runs as the Saints improved to 13-14 on the season with their third straight win.

Tim Harris went two for three with his third triple of the week and a homer, driving in three runs for the Saints in game two.

Harris Paces Saints in 21-9 Win Over Hamilton

A sore ankle kept Tim Harris off the field on Wednesday night, but
unfortunately for Hamilton, it did not keep him out of the batters box.

Harris, who injured his ankle in a series against Vassar, ran his hit
streak to nine games as he went five for five, scored four times and
drove in four runs, hitting three doubles and two triples as the Saints
clobbered Hamilton 21-9 under the lights at DeLutis Field in Rome.

Cook Wins 4th in Split with Vassar

Sophomore pitcher Chris Cook won his fourth game of the season for
St. Lawrence in game one of a Liberty League doubleheader with Vassar
on Saturday, but the Brewers bounced back to win game two 5-4, earning
a split and avoiding a Saint sweep of the four game series.

Vassar, 4-15 overall and 3-10 in the Liberty League
took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning and held off a
Saint rally in the top of the ninth in the second game win. The Saints,
10-14 overall and 6-10 in league play won game one 8-5.

Saints Sweep Vassar in Liberty League Doubleheader

Tim Harris tripled in the tying run in the
bottom of the seventh and scored the go-ahead run and St. Lawrence
University’s baseball team tacked on six runs in the bottom of the
eighth for a 13-8 win over Vassar and a sweep of a Liberty League
doubleheader at Tom Fay Field on Friday afternoon.

Saints Win in Bottom of Seventh, Skidmore Gains Split

Ryan Duff singled home pinch runner Jason
Conde with the winning run with two out in the bottom of the seventh to
give St. Lawrence a 5-4 win in game one of a Liberty League
doubleheader at Skidmore on Sunday, but the Thoroughbreds bounced back
with a 15-hit attack in a 11-5 win in game two for a second straight
split.

The Saints, now 7-13 overall and 3-9 in league play,
are scheduled to play at Plattsburgh Tuesday and for a league set
against Vassar at home Friday and Saturday.

Saints Gain Split With Skidmore in Liberty League Set

Chris Cook allowed one earned run in eight-plus innings and
struck out eight as St. Lawrence University’s baseball team gained a
Liberty League split at Skidmore on Saturday, winning game two 6-4.

Skidmore beat the Saints 2-1 in game one of the league set. The Saints,
6-11, 2-8 and Thoroughbreds, 9-10, 1-5 are scheduled to play two more
games on Sunday.

Oswego Rolls to 14-5 Win Over Saints

Junior outfielder Brian Stark went three for
three, scored twice and drove in three runs to lead Oswego to a 14-5
NCAA Division III baseball victory over St. Lawrence at Tom Fay Field
on Thursday afternoon.

Oswego improves to 6-4 overall while the Saints are now
5-11 heading into a Liberty League series at Skidmore Saturday and
Sunday.
