Eight Individuals, Novice Boat Earn Weekly Conference Honors

Oct. 27: The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon, and St. Lawrence University was well represented amongst those honored. 

Both junior captain Dan Ramsey and sophomore Jenna Hulton earned the conference's "Performer of the Week" award for men's and women's cross country, respectively, after both runners won the individual title at the 2009 NYSCTC Championship last weekend.  Ramsey and Hulton's victories each led the Saints to the team championships as well.

Four Saints Earn Liberty League Weekly Honors

Oct. 20: The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon, and four St. Lawrence University student-athletes were amongst those honored.

First-year student Courtney Davis of the field hockey squad, junior Ben Cryts of the football team, and Devon Shatkin and Abby van Geldern of the women's soccer team each earned an award for their play.

Davis contributed her first collegiate goal in the Saints' field hockey team's 5-0 triumph over Nazareth on Tuesday.  The Schenectady, NY native's play landed her Liberty League "Co-Rookie of the Week" honors with Skidmore's Ceilidh MacNeill.

Five Saints Earn Liberty League Weekly Awards

Oct. 6: The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon, and five St. Lawrence University student-athletes were amongst those honored.

Juniors Dan Ramsey and Wendy Pavlus each earned Performer of the Week honors for men's and women's cross country, respectively, after their outstanding performances at the 2009 Paul Short Invitational.  Ramsey led the men's team with a 60th place showing out of 386 competitors with a time of 24:41 in the Inter-Divisional race hosted by Lehigh University.  Meanwhile, Pavlus paced the women's squad to a 21st place finish in the Inter-Divisional meet.  The Tupper Lake, NY native finished 31st overall out of 362 runners with a personal-best time of 21:16 and was the top Division III runner.
