Learning Goals

The mission of Counseling Services is to help St. Lawrence University students grow as whole individuals.  With this in mind, we work to support the academic, emotional, social, and cultural development of students.

Counseling Services supports students' growth as whole individuals by helping students:

  1. Resolve personal issues through assessment, counseling, outreach, consultation, and educational services
  1. Move successfully through the personal development process
  1. Develop coping skills for everyday living
  1. Take personal responsibility for their decisions
  1. Develop communication skills and skills related to building successful interpersonal relationships.
