Who We Are
The Northern New York K-16 Consortium for Asian Studies was established in 2002
with the support of the Freeman
Foundation. It is co-sponsored by the St Lawrence
University
Asian Studies Program and
the St Lawrence-Lewis Counties BOCES
School
Improvement Program. Its goals are to support teaching about Asia in area
K-12 schools and to increase cooperation between K-12 and colleges in our area.
NNYCAS
is meeting these goals by bringing K-12 students and teachers
to cultural events at SLU, organizing conferences and workshops, creating this
website, and sponsoring
field trips for teachers.
