Just Vision Presents Budrus
Budrus followed by Q & A with Suhad Babaa, Online Content Associate at Just Vision

Award-winning film Budrus, hailed in the New York Times as "this year's must-see documentary," tells the story of a Palestinian community organizer who succeeds in uniting Palestinians from all political factions together with Israelis in an unarmed movement to save his village from destruction by Israel's Separation Barrier. Budrus has won numerous awards at top international festivals, has been featured in major press outlets such as The Washington Post, The Economist, Charlie Rose, MSNBC and others. Budrus is now playing before a variety of Israeli and Palestinian audiences in the region and is being screened in theaters, think tanks, universities and community centers across America. In the US, highlights have included a screening on Capitol Hill with Members of Congress and their staff, a screening at the State Department's Foreign Service Institute and a large screening at the UN.
As the Online Content Associate at Just Vision, Suhad coordinates the development and distribution of Just Vision's educational and facilitation resources and the publishing process of interviews with grassroots civic leaders. Suhad graduated with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania where she received a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. After graduation, Suhad traveled to Israel and Palestine for the first time and spent several months as an intern with various local organizations through the Faculty for Israeli-Palestinian Peace. Suhad is currently a New Leaders Fellow at the Center for Progressive Leadership. Prior to joining Just Vision, Suhad interned with the Middle East and North Africa team at Vital Voices Global Partnership and was a paralegal at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
