Upon entering college, Megan was certain she had a passion for the field of dentistry, and she chose to pursue her undergraduate degree in Chemistry. Striving to complete the recommended coursework for dental school, Megan chose to take a ceramics class during her junior year. She took on her first post-middle school art class with the determination to work up to the level of her peers, and in doing so she successfully developed the crucial fine motor hand skills and spatial coordination that is necessary to become a great dentist.

At SLU, Megan served as a pitcher, outfielder, and captain for the Saints softball team. She was an Orientation Leader for the first year students, a Chemistry TA and a Ceramics TA. In the Science Writing Center, Megan worked as a writing mentor for her peers. She was a member of the student affiliates of the American Chemical Society as well as Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honorary. Megan played the cello in the SLU String Orchestra.
