Dr. Carotenuto at Africa Network meeting

Assistant Professor Matt Carotenuto recently chaired a roundtable discussion on undergraduate research in African studies at the annual meeting of Africa Network---an organization devoted promoting the study of Africa at liberal arts colleges. Drawing on his experience coordinating the African Studies Program and teaching HIST/AFS SYE-480 “Contemporary Africa,” he examined the role of off-campus study in historical research and helped co-author an annotated bibliography of available primary source materials.
