After five years of teaching collegiate English in Colorado and central New York, I return to my alma mater in the North Country as the Coordinator of Academic Development. I work primarily with students on academic probation and also with those who need assistance fine tuning their literary and writing skills.
After four busy and fulfilling years at St. Lawrence, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and moved to Boulder, Colorado. During this time, I was able to do a lot of traveling throughout the country which became the inspiration for much of my writing. I called Boulder home for several years which is where I received my Writing and Poetics MFA from Naropa University.
I eventually moved outside of Denver and began teaching college English in 2006. I taught Literature, two levels of English Composition, and College Seminar classes over the course of my career.
My current travel writing endeavor is based on my recent backpacking trip through Southeast Asia. Much of the project will be focused on the Temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia and observations in Saigon, Vietnam.
