Merit Scholarships
Fort Drum Scholarship Program
Goal:
To honor Fort Drum military dependents or soldiers finishing their tour of duty by facilitating their obtaining college degrees at St. Lawrence University.


Benefits:
The St. Lawrence University/ Fort Drum Scholarship will meet all financial need that exceeds the total amount of state, federal, and merit awards received by qualified students. The University wishes to make certain that scholarship recipients are not required to take out loans to complete their education, in recognition of their parents' service, or their own service, to the United States. Students can expect to receive the award for four years of study at St. Lawrence.


To Apply:
Qualified students must first apply to St. Lawrence University, and meet all requirements for admission. Each student must also submit a complete financial aid application to be considered for this scholarship. Candidates should alert their high school guidance counselors of their interest in consideration for this scholarship. The guidance office will submit the names of potential scholarship candidates to SLU admissions office. Notification to scholarship winners will be made at the time of admission provided that the financial aid application is complete.
