Tim Akers is a 2006 graduate of St. Lawrence University and started working with admissions as a student in 2004. As an undergraduate Akers majored in Psychology and minored in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. In addition to his work in the admissions office Tim was named captain of the swim team, a founding member of the Student Alumni Association, and a student-delegate to the Alumni Council.
Since his graduation in 2006, Tim has worked as an Admissions Counselor at Southern New Hampshire University, an assistant swim coach with the Tiger sharks (Manchester, NH YMCA), and returned to his alma mater to work with the varsity swim team as an assistant coach. Currently, Tim is earning a masters degree in education while working in the admissions office and is also involved with the triathlon club on campus.
