Weekly Report: Sam and Cam

Wow, it seems like the blink of an eye
At ESL beneath the blue skies
None of us could have predicted
The amazing three months we would witness.
Slack lines, canoeing, and saunas galore
Hikes up Ampersand, Marcy and more.
Nights on the dock under the stars
Tomatoes and yogurt canned in Mason jars.
How could this have all gone so fast?
Could this week be truly the last?
Never fear there is one more to go
And we will do our best to take it slow.
So what have we done for this last week?
Well listen up close and I'll give you a peek!
Like his hair, Matthias's garden still grows
And Cam has taken a million photos.
Molly and Kelly continue to dance
And Andrew has still not switched to pants.
Silas made the best raisin bread
And Jon's cakes keep us well fed.
Leah's biking now powers the yurts
And Alex made us laugh so hard that it hurts.
Ellie's woodworking has blown us away
And Ashley lives in the loft to this day.
Sam has played a lot of guitar
And hear that? Coyotes howling afar!
While these are things we separately do
There's still more I must share with you.
With finals we've all been writing a lot
And last week we all got our swine fly shots.
The weather's been around 65
So we've all been feeling more alive.
Canoe races from dock to dock
Are now under six minutes tops.
We now know all about the APA
And how the park is changing today.
We made pottery in the style of Raku
(And one might even be a gift for you!)
There's far more about which we could talk
But this provides a short snapshot.
Now we must go and make the transition
Away from this place in which we've been livin'.
There's one more week until tears are shed
And bittersweet goodbyes are finally said.
We all know how hard it will be to do
But we can't wait to come home to you.
So until next week when we see you again
We love you and miss you, Auf wiedersehen.
