As a first year student, knowing I would like to pursue a music major, I was eager from the start to get involved with the music at SLU. Taking two music classes in the Underground opened me up to the great staff and facilities. Along with with their talent and passion for the field, the people that I have worked with in the department have taught me more than just what is in the course material. I have also become a part of many ensembles on campus. From Orchestra, to University Choir, to being a part of the first-ever coed a Capella singing group on campus, I have found the same welcoming individuals who show passion and dedication in everything they do. I cant wait to see what else the Music Department has to offer in my future years as a Laurentian.
