Since leaving St. Lawrence Nathan has acquired a small but sentimental collection of stringed instruments, the pride of which is his great grandfather's 5 string banjo, and homemade single string cigar box bass. He has performed publicly on mandolin and violin in China and Japan.

Nathan is currently a librarian at the University of North Texas, where he is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Science. At the library, Nathan gets to explore his interest in world music in one of the largest academic music collections in the United States.
