Wind Ensemble

Wind Ensemble… that’s like a Concert Band, right?  Right!  Our centerpiece will be Percy Grainger’s Lincolnshire Posy but it will be an eclectic mix: Sousa, a Joplin rag, a Spanish doble and a great jazz tune from Wynton Marsalis’s book: “South Rampart Street Parade.”  Everyone is welcome! 

Rehearsals:  Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-8:30pm in our new Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall (Griffiths 29), starting Thursday September 6.

Concert date:  Thursday, November 29 at 8:00 pm in Peterson-Kermani Hall.

Auditions:  Thursday, August 30 and Tuesday, September 4 from 7-8:30pm in Peterson Kermani Hall.

Audition requirements:  You, your instrument, and something you have prepared (or wished you had!).  We'll take it from there.  This is not Glee: We do not eat our own.  Just want to hear you play.   Practice rooms are open 24/7 in the basement of Griffiths if you need to get that lip back in shape!
