At St. Lawrence

Major:
Computer Science and Physics
Minor:
Mathematics
Activities:
Tennis, Hockey, Sigma Pi Sigma (Physics Honor Society), Physics Club

In my free time, I enjoy playing both tennis and hockey. Being a big hockey school, St. Lawrence offers open ice time, as well as, open hockey as soon as the weather cools down. Outside of sports, I tutor kids in introductory computer science, math, and physics courses. I am also a member of Sigma Pi Sigma (Physics honors society). In addition, I am also the vice president of the physics club.

In the Summer of 2011 I interned for a mobile software development company called Skycore. Skycore is getting ready to release CodeReadR, a barcode scanner with many services, including real-time validation against a given database, and will allow companies a cost-effect way of scanning barcodes (since commercial barcode scanners are expensive). My job focuses on testing and validating the tool to veriy that it works as intended.

I would like to to attend graduate school, however, I'm not sure which discipline I would like to pursue further. My hope is that I will be able to conduct research enveloping both of my majors, which could include Data Mining or creating high-level models and simulations. Also, at some point, I would like to become a professor.
