Emma's summer plans encompass all three of these academic interests: she will be in Boulder, Colorado for a week at the NCAR Explorations in Statistics Research, learning how to work with complex statistical data sets.
Emma will then spend 2-3 weeks focusing on climate change and subsistence cultures in Nome, Alaska. She will be working with a fellow Environmental Studies student and professor to interview local indigenous people about climate change impacts on native villages.
Emma is looking forward to her summer travels, as well as working at the Greenhouse and Farm in her hometown.
