Mentor for the QRC and a Community Mentor for the Center for Civic Engagement, while also a volunteer for Reading Buddies. Emma is also a member of Lettuce Turnip the Beet which is a student organization that works to connect SLU students with the Canton community by promoting local food and sustainable food systems.

Emma was a combined Math and Environmental studies major. Last summer Emma was in Boulder, Colorado for a week at the NCAR Explorations in Statistics Research, learning how to work with complex statistical data sets.  Emma then spent three weeks focusing on climate change and subsistence cultures in Nome, Alaska. She will be working with a fellow Environmental Studies student and professor to interview local indigenous people about climate change impacts on native villages.

After Graduation

Emma now lives in Colorado and works on an organic CSA farm.
