Dr. Eissenstat speaks on Gulen movement, Egyptian crisis; writes on academic freedom in Turkey

At the Middle East Studies Association Conference in Denver, Assistant Professor Howard Eissenstat was a discussant for a panel on the Gülen Movement, an Islamic organization which has powerful roots both in Turkey and the United States.  An article he wrote for Amnesty International’s blog page on attacks on Academic freedom in Turkey was republished by Voice of America.  He was interviewed on the current crisis in Egypt by Korean Public Television.
