Jamie Kennedy `05

Jamie Kennedy is Director of Business Development at the Community Development Foundation (CDF) in Tupelo, Mississippi and has worked at CDF since November 2005. CDF is a 61 year old organization that for the past four years has been recognized as one of the Top 10 economic development organizations in the United States by Site Selection magazine. In this capacity, Jamie is responsible for working with state and regional economic development agencies or directly with corporate clients on business locations and industrial development projects.

Jamie was a member of the team that successfully recruited Toyota’s eighth North American assembly plant to Blue Springs, Mississippi. During the Toyota recruitment process, Jamie was responsible for coordinating site selection research and related project development information. Following the location of Toyota, Jamie was also on the economic development teams involved in related automotive supplier recruitment. He was also on the project management team that located NEW Corporation/Asurion’s 500-employee customer contact center to Tupelo in 2007.

Professional training includes the Certified Economic Development Finance Professional designation from the National Development Council.
