He has co-authored two books on advertising: Sign Wars about television commercials and Nike Culture about Nike’s branding campaigns. Presently, he has just finished writing another book on advertising titled Landscapes of Capital. This book is about how capital, our economic system, brands itself through corporate advertising. His expertise is in Australian cinema. Recently, he presented a paper at a conference at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra on Baz Luhrman’s Australia. He is also director of SLU’s Australia Program, which provides an opportunity for students to study abroad in that country.
