As a native of Manlius, NY, I was always coming to St. Lawrence to attend my brother, Matt's, soccer games and then later my brother, Charlie's, games. When I came back for my own visit, it felt comfortable and familiar. I loved the idea of going abroad and SLU's abroad programs offered me the opportunity to travel twice; to Kenya and to India. The liberal arts education is what I wanted and felt SLU could offer that. Freshman year, I took General Biology and fell in love. For the first time, I was enjoying studying and felt it was for my interest and not just teacher's. Thus, exploring the biology department has been a pleasure, as well as, having time to fulfill my liberald arts expectations and take classes from other departments.

In addition to my many extra-curricular activities, I am currently employed as an Office Assistant in the Education Department through SLU's Work-Study Program.

After Graduation

Professional Position:
Former Office Assistant
