Dr. Ying "Wannie" Wang
Wannie is originally from Taiwan and more recently Los Angeles, California. She started as a Jeffery Campbell Fellow at St. Lawrence University in 2006 and is now an assistant professor in the Education Department. She is currently teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. She is also a supervisor for student teachers in the professional semester.
Wannie’s research interests include curriculum development, multicultural and international education, immigration students, and qualitative inquiries in educational research. She has participated in numbers of projects of the Kuumba Learning Model (Donaldson & Tartakov, 1997), an award-winning, innovative, and cross-cultural learning model that centers on creativity to address issues in educational equality.
In addition, Wannie received her Ed. D. in Cross-Cultural Studies in Higher Education from Alliant International University in San Francisco, California. She also holds a B.A. in Chinese Literature and has received graduate-level training in interpersonal communication. She practices yoga, enjoys music and movies, and loves dogs.
