At St. Lawrence

Major:
Economics
Activities:
Entrepreneurship Club, Crown Royalties Investment Club, President of SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), Hockey team, New York Chi chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Honor Society in Economics).

During my years at St. Lawrence University I have enjoyed participating in the Entrepreneurship Club and the Crown Royalties Investment Club.  Along with these opportunities, I have had "hands on" experience as an intern at various businesses.  In the spring of 2009 I participated in the Spring Program Internship at Goldman Sachs.  During the summer of 2009, I interned at the Chicago Board of Trade (Euro-Dollar Pit) and at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney (Global Wealth Management).  And this summer I will be interning for Goldman Sachs in NY (Sales and Trading).

Sports have played a major role in my years here at St. Lawrence.  I play defense on the NCAA Division I Hockey team.  Each year I have played, I have been a member of the ECAC All Academic Team at SLU.  I also co-founded the St. Lawrence Hockey Teddy Bear Toss (donations have gone to the St. Lawrence Valley Renewal House and the Canton-Potsdam Hospital).  St. Lawrence really encourages its students to grow in leadership.  In 2008 I was nominated for the Bradley R. Evers Outstanding First-Year Student Award and in 2009 I was awarded the Beta Theta Pi Men of Principle Scholarship.  Recently, I was inducted into New York Chi Chapter of Omicron Delta Epsilon (the International Honor Society in Economics).

After Graduation

Following graduation, I would like to have already accepted a position at the firm of my choice in NYC.  I am passionate about both hockey and finance, and would thoroughly enjoy an opportunity to pursue a career on Wall Street, while still keeping up with hockey and watching my siblings excel through playing at the college level.  In fact, my brother Patrick will be following me as he plays hockey for the Saints next year as a first year student!  Go Saints!
