I have had an interest in the various peoples of the world since I was about five years old. By the time I was thirteen I had friends in over fifty countries. I studied abroad in Costa Rica during my junior year of high school. When it came time to think about college, I knew I wanted to major in Anthropology. I came to St. Lawrence on a visit and immediately fell in love with it for several reasons, the largest of which was the Anthropology department. I do not honestly think I could have found a better group of faculty and the opportunities presented to the students are far beyond anything I could have imagined. I have enjoyed my time in the department so far and look forward to the next year and a half of research.
