New York State Public Health Law, Article 24-A and the St. Lawrence University IRB Policy Statement requires that the IRB conduct timely review of research projects falling under the policy. As a result, the PI of every approved study involving human participants is required to notify the IRB of the status of the project by July 1st of the academic year during which the project received approval. If the human participants component of a project is completed prior to May 1st, the PI should inform the IRB upon completion but no later than July 1st by appropriately completing this form and submitting it to the Chair of the IRB. If the human participants component of the project is not completed by July 1st, the PI must apply for a continuation of approval by appropriately completing this form and submitting it to the Chair of the IRB. The PI will be notified as soon as possible of the status of the request for continuation by IRB Chair.
