Performance and Communication Arts
Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Communication Studies
The Department of Performance and Communication Arts at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2012. Preference will be given to candidates who are creative pedagogues, with college-level teaching experience, who are interested in broad and integrated approaches to human interaction and social performance. Candidates with experience teaching both public speaking and communication studies preferred. Courses to be taught include introductory rhetoric and communication studies with upper-level rhetoric courses in area of expertise. The candidate will also participate at some point in St. Lawrence University’s First Year Program. Degree requirements: Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered.
