Visiting Assistant Professor
Cultural Anthropologist

The Department of Anthropology at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor in cultural anthropology, beginning August 2012.  Qualified candidates will teach our required introductory course Language and Human Experience, as well as an upper-level seminar in anthropological theory or research methods.  Course load is three per semester; the particular array of remaining courses is open but should contribute to the offerings of a four-field anthropology department. Geographic area should ideally complement existing department strengths in Africa and South Asia. Candidates with Ph.D. in hand preferred; ABDs also acceptable. MA required.
